Earn Your Master of Laws (LL.M.)

Regent’s Master of Laws (LL.M.) in American Legal Studies and Human Rights were created for those whom either have a J.D. degree and want to deepen their expertise in these specialized areas or to provide those who have earned a law degree outside of the U.S. with the international qualifications that prepare them for an increasingly globalized marketplace.

Master of Laws in American Legal Studies

  1. Satisfy the demand by international lawyers for training in American legal studies.
  2. Learn to reason, research, and problem-solve in the context of the United States legal system.
  3. Analyze the influences of law, policy, and government around the globe.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of the common-law legal tradition in the United States.

Master of Laws in Human Rights

  1. Complete your LL.M. degree in one year of full-time study.
  2. Gain a familiarity with the United States legal system in the context of certain topics.
  3. Learn to reason, research, write, and problem-solve in the context of the U.S. legal system.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of the common-law legal tradition.
